Bluebell Railway

The SOUTHERN at WAR - 2006

13th -14th May 2006

Turning back the clock to the days of the 2nd World War with each of the Bluebell's stations staging 1940's cameo scenes, visitors were able to see a selection of  Military Displays, Mock Gun Battles,  Wartime Newsreels,  Military Vehicles and ENSA Concert Shows . There was a special Friday evening 'Victory Belle' Pullman dining train with a concert party show to conclude the evening.

I enjoy this event because its about people enjoying themselves, whether they are visiting the Railway or joining in by dressing for the occasion  and lets not forget there were a few service trains running as well with Blackmoor Vale, U Class No. 1638,  and Earl of Berkeley No.9017.
